The Finance & Revenue Management Director plays a major role in the development of a revenue and price promotion strategy and ensures appropriate methods are in place to track volume, profit and other key regional metrics critical to running the business and to making choices. The DF&R also plays the primary leadership role in the administration of the finance and control function as well as providing analytical support to the business units.

Business Strategy:

Develop the 3-year financial plan [volume, revenue and expenses by brand, DMA, COT and target accounts] ensuring there is a sound link between the operating strategies and the supporting financials.

Participate in the formulation of the business unit strategy by providing an accurate and insightful economic analysis, and the impact of these decisions in overall P&L performance for the market area relative to its goals.

Work with the GM in drawing up budgets and profit forecasts, and developing guidelines for the budgets to ensure that resources are properly allocated and accurate and that financial risk are understood and appropriately managed.

Serve as a financial advisor by providing consultative advice to the AVP and operating unit to assist them in maximizing business opportunities through sound business decisions
Revenue Management:

Conduct annual revenue and price promotion planning, execution and evaluation, including volume mix

Develop localized annual price plans, incorporating pricing strategies, near and long term

Localize national pricing strategy initiatives based on local market conditions (e.g., local precision pricing opportunities, local pack-price curve outliers, local channel margins, price elasticities, etc.) & implement opportunities to maximize overall volume and net revenue performance

Manage new product/package introductions, incorporating package into the overall volume and profit plans

Establish price promotion budgets in combination with frontline pricing strategies
Pricing Strategy and Execution:

Develop local area brand and portfolio pricing strategies based on in-depth pricing analysis

Support Regional Vice President and General Managers in the review and evaluation of pricing and price promotion objectives and strategies

Ensure compliance with National Strategies, secure approvals for deviations

Manage pricing strategy overlaps with other regions due to Chain pricing strategies

Manage annual GI planning, execution and follow-up processes

Manage evaluation of local pricing/price promotion requests and analysis, ensuring pricing adjustment process and calculation is consistent with national pricing and brand management strategies and guidelines.

Approve local FOB project analysis within strategic and tactical guidelines. If outside strategy or guidelines, work to identify alternatives and/or seek

Other key elements include: Organizational synergies, Budget and Accounting, and Business Performance Analysis

A seasoned business leader [8 years] and driver to accomplish the objectives of this business unit. An MBA degree is required, as is a senior level of Finance Management experience within a classic, blue chip organization. The successful incumbent will have first hand experience in managing operating budgets and providing deep commercial insights to improve business profitability.
