Monday, April 20, 2009 - A highly visible local spokesperson for the Brands in specific markets. The position is based on the development of relationships and increasing share of mind for the Diageo Whisky Brands, while also implementing Diageo marketing programs.

Responsibilities

Johnnie Walker portfolio with a concentration:
• on Green Label, Gold Label, Blue Label
• All single malts, including single malt special editions
• Buchanan’s 18-Year Old
• Bushmills Irish Whisky
• Bulleit Bourbon
• Crown Royal Special Reserve and XR
• George Dickel
• Whisky knowledge resource for distributors, key accounts and Diageo Cluster Teams
• Work with distributors to identify and secure distribution for the brand in key accounts
• Work within a three-way matrix (Diageo Brand Team, Diageo Cluster Team, US Concepts Brand Team) to manage the implementation of a quarterly marketing plan
• Responsible for developing high value relationships with key accounts in both the on- and off-premise
• Use expertise, while working with local distributor, to expand network of key Scotch consumers, to increase brand loyalty and consumption
• Execute high profile PR events with local influencers
• Execute trade and consumer events

Qualifications

Position Requirements
• Professional individual with at least 5-7 years experience in related field with a strong sales background
• A good knowledge of the wine and spirit market (whisky knowledge preferred but not necessary)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Possess strong public and presentation skills
• Strong budget management experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Self-starter, proactive, able to work well alone and with a team

Hello Cathy, Would you be open to considering an Irish/ Canadian who holds dual citizenship and can therefore travel/work in reciprocal locales? If so please contact me as I have completed all WSET courses up to and including the Diploma. I also have direct experience in Brand promotion in wine and spirits as well as retail and on-trade.
